When the leaves start changing, the fog rolls in & rain visits our community there is lots to do @ the Tillamook Coast!

Visit the Museums

When the weather starts getting rainier we love visiting all the museums. Our top faves are the air museum in Tillamook, Maritime museum in Garibaldi, Pioneer Museum in Tillamook, Nehalem Valley Historical Society in Manzanita. Make sure to check the hours before visiting as most have changed to their Fall/Winter hours

Halloween at the Tillamook Main Branch Library

Head to the library for the Halloween Movies on Wednesday Nights at the library, 6 pm every Wednesday in October! 10/1 Dracula (1931) 10/8 Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954) 10/15 The Creeping Flesh (1973) 10/22 Young Frankenstein (1974) 10/29 The Innocents (1961)

Pumpkin Patch

The hydrangea ranch https://hydrangearanch.oregoncoastalflowers.com/pumpkin-patch/ opens September 30th & goes all weekends through halloween. They have a great corn maze, U-pick pumpkins w/ decent prices, kettle corn, tractor rides & plenty of parking! Bring the family for some excellent fall fun.

Holiday fun the weekends around halloween

I love that there is always trick or treating & holiday fun the weekend before halloween. In Pacific City on Nov 1st the Dory boats are gathering to do a trunk or treat @ the Kiwanda Center. The Rockaway Beach chamber of commerce is putting on a "halloween night" party @ the wayside the 25th including oregon coast scenic railroad halloween train from Garibaldi to Rockaway, halloween decoration contest & more. NCRD in Nehalem typically has a trunk or treat in the Rex Champ Field stay tuned for more details.

Pumpkin Spice Everything

Stop by the local coffee shops & bakeries to check out their pumpkins spice offerings. Especially Lindseys Lattes in Tillamook, Cabin Coffee for pumpkin spice lattes in Tillamook, Pacific Edge in Garibaldi usually has pumpkin spice muffins & coffee, Brittney Bake's in Garibaldi & Beach Bakeshop in Rockaway Beach have Fall pastry options & the Tillamook cheese factory for seasonal ice cream flavors (& because it will be less busy after a crazy summer).

Fall Foliage Hike

We are surrounded by forests with fall foliage here! Check out the trail @ the Kilchis Campground or stop anywhere off of highway 6; one of my favorites is Kings Mountain Trail. For an easy one with the kids the Kilchis point is great!

Fall Crafts

Check out the Belladonna bead store in Garibaldi for their Fall collection & spooky skeleton decor. Don't forget that the Bay City Arts Center is doing open house art nights Wednesdays 6-8 so bring your own fall crafts to work on!

Arcade fun

There are some options in the county for arcades; North Coast pinball (https://www.northcoastpinball.com) in Nehalem, Y/Pastega Bowling in Tillamook , or stop by Main Street Pizza & check out the back room with games.

Make Leaf Piles

Yes!!! It's not fall until you get out your leaf blower (or your hands & rakes) & make a huge pile & jump in it! Watch out for sticks!
