Cons

1. Very expensive housing | Cannon Beach is one of the priciest towns on the Oregon Coast because of limited inventory and high demand for vacation homes.

2. Heavy tourism in summer | During peak season the town gets crowded, parking becomes difficult, and beaches and restaurants can fill up quickly.

3. Rainy coastal weather | Expect lots of mist, fog, and rain throughout the year—about 180+ rainy days annually in the region.

4. Limited jobs and services The local economy relies heavily on tourism, and residents sometimes need to drive to larger towns for healthcare, schools, or major shopping.

5. Quiet off-season Winter can feel slow. Some restaurants, shops, and tourist businesses reduce hours or close temporarily.

Cannon Beach is incredible if you want scenery, walkability, and a peaceful coastal lifestyle, but it comes with high prices, tourism crowds in summer, and fewer big-city amenities.
